Velocity's research site in Baton Rouge frequently conducts clinical trials for a broad range of investigational treatments. The clinic began conducting clinical trials with Meridian Clinical Research in 2017 before being acquired by Velocity in 2022.

All trials conducted at the site are performed in accordance with ICH and FDA guidelines, and in compliance with GCP.   • Jordan Whatley, MD

    Principal Investigator
    Jordan Whatley, MD specializes in dermatology and has been in private practice since 2011. Board certified in Dermatology, Dr. Whatley received his medical degree from Louisiana State University and achieved Junior AOA and pharmacology honors. He also completed an internal medicine internship at Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA and a dermatology residency at Louisiana State University, where he served as Chief Resident his final year. Dr. Whately currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Louisiana State University Department of Dermatology, a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
